Raymond Chiu

(former Mobile and Embedded Computing Division of Sybase Inc.)

As vice president, Mr. Chiu is responsible for business development in the Asia Pacific Region, including Japan, for iAnywhere Solutions Inc., a subsidiary of Sybase Inc.

He has over 25 years of experience in the high technology industry. Mr. Chiu's experiences range from venture investment, business development, sales and marketing, product development, and operations management. He has worked in the U.S. and Asia Pacific. He recently completed two venture investments on behalf of Sybase, Main Street Network and a $60 million Beijing Technology Development Fund managed by WI Harper of San Francisco.

Prior to joining Sybase, Mr. Chiu was vice president and general manager of Siemens Nixdorf AG/Siemens-Pyramid Information Systems Inc.'s Open Enterprise Computing line of business in Asia Pacific. In this capacity, he was responsible for the total profit and loss of the business in the Asia Pacific Region, include Japan and Australia.

Before Siemens Nixdorf, Mr. Chiu was chief operating officer of Wong's Electronics Ltd., a US $300 million multi-national OEM equipment manufacturer and product design firm in Hong Kong. As COO, he managed all engineering, manufacturing, sales and marketing, finance and administrative functions of the Company.

Additionally, Mr. Chiu has held management and engineering positions at Silicon Graphics, Deloitte-Touche (China), Communication Intelligence Corp., Zilog and Intel.

He holds a Bachelor's degree with honors in Electronics Engineering Technology from California State Polytechnics University at San Luis Obispo, California, as well as an MBA with honors from Pepperdine University at Malibu, California.

He is a board member of CyberM, a Hong Kong GEM Board listed enterprise software solution company; and 1Internet Inc., a private eCommerce enabler for small to medium size banks. He is a business advisor to nuServe, a financial service web enabler; Dejima Inc., a natural interaction solution provider; Hotlocker.com, an online secured content communication solution provider; and Consumer Direct Link (CDL), a pervasive computing networks solution provider.
